The experienced fibre optic investors EQT and OMERS founded the group of companies as owners in 2020 through a merger of the network providers inexio and Deutsche Glasfaser. With a total available investment volume of 7 billion euros, 6 million fibre connections are to be expanded across Germany in the medium term. Deutsche Glasfaser is the market leader in Germany as the FTTH provider with the most contract customers.
